Well, needless to say things have been really busy in the Knighten household. When I come home at the end of the day, I feel like it is all I can do to stay awake through dinner.
My first year of teaching has been exceedingly more difficult then I anticipated. The kids are great, but working with military families is really tough and there are a lot of the things the kids are dealing with that impact their educations. Somedays, I feel like there is nothing I can really do to help them succeed, but then there are always breakthroughs that remind me why God placed me in this place with these kids.
Ben's new job has been great, other than the crazy things happening in Harrison school district, he is really happy and enjoys working with this new population of students.
We are excited about the progress that Ben is making with his music, several places have asked him to come and play! He is frantically working on his first CD and we are excited to get that rolling.
In December, we are looking forward to having our good friends Jared and Beth come visit. Really we haven't made too many friends in the Springs and it is nice when we can see the people who have loved us and supported us through all stages of life.
In December, we are also looking forward to a tropical vacation. I know that we just took an amazing vacation, but there won't be too many more years where we can just pick up and go wherever we want! We will be staying for 3 nights in Cancun and we could not be more excited about the time together with few distractions. It will be a much needed break from life and it will give us a chance to spend some much needed, stress free time together.
Well, there is a quick update of our lives. I will try to be better about informing you all and sharing the stories we experience everyday.
