Just so ya' know

If anyone in Colorado Springs needs pictures there is a couple (knew them from a bible study) that are raising money for their Ethiopia Adoption and are doing this by taking pictures for a donation. Becky is a photographer and samples of her work can be seen here. So, if you need pictures taken any time soon, give her a call and help bring another child into a home.

I try to impart my "wisdom" into the life of my students by sharing stories and relating to their lives. Some days though, I feel so far removed from their realities, I did not grow up where they are growing up, my parents are still married, and I have every cognitive ability to be successful. How can I expect them to be any different than what they are when their lives are so in limbo? Uncertain?

Father, Give me the strength to love these children with the same fervor that you have loved your children, let it be an imperfect love but nevertheless, a love that is growing and changing. Open their ears to what I have to say and open my heart so that they can teach me.
